CSSMA Friends & Neighbors

We are so lucky to have been a part of Tribeca and the New York City cultural landscape for 30 years! During that time we have met some wonderful friends, neighbors and supporters and we would like to introduce you to them here. This list will be ever growing!

Community is so important and we thrive with the support of our friends so we hope that you will get to know these wonderful people and businesses that you find here and this list will be growing regularly so check back in often!

The folks at Keyed Up do incredible work! For jazz professionals, KEYED UP! Creates playing opportunities in neighborhood venues that are free to the public For younger jazz musicians, the Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra gives the invaluable experience of a weekly gig on one of New York's most famous stages and the opportunity to study with jazz greats.

For New York grade school children, the Jazz Discovery Program invites classes to take an unforgettable field trip to a New York jazz club where a band of jazz greats awaits to educate and perform jazz/blues for them, often for the first time.

CSSMA and KeyedUp have partnered for a weekly jazz night called The Hang which brought leaders of the jazz world as well as aspiring young jazz talents to our performance space for weekly toe-tapping and inspired sessions.

Leroy’s Place is one of our friends from Park Slope Brooklyn! We have collaborated with Founder, Creative Director and Illustrator, Serene Bacigalupi for our past Happening block parties and we are thrilled to be a part of their Monster Story Time video that we will share here on Halloween!

Leroy’s Place is a magical collective of artists that invite participants into a zany world of bold original art with a special unique focus of monster characters who have a flare for puns!

Leroy’s Place strives to create community through events in their gallery space, as well as to use the Gallery as an incubator for collaborations with established and emerging artists.

What’s a Fall Fest without pumpkins? We appreciate Prospect Hill for providing pumpkins for our safe outdoor pumpkin decorating that will be taking place on Halloween outside of the school!

While they are based in Milton, NY you can also check them out at several NYC Greenmarkets three days a week:  Tucker Square at 66th and B’way, Thursday and Saturday, 8 am-4pm,  Tribeca at Greenwich and Chambers St, Saturdays,  8 am-3pm, and Ft. Washington at Ft. Washington Ave and 168th St., Tuesdays, now through Thanksgiving, 8 am-3 pm.

Tribeca Art District

We are grateful for the support Jennifer Famery-Mariani and Tribeca Art + Culture Night has offered us so that we can bring our Fall Festival to you!  Jennifer is the founder of TAC Night which has done an incredible job of putting of lighting up the Tribeca Art scene. TAC night is a downtown arts festival that normally presents quarterly and offers the community a curated and exceptional program of exhibitions, performances, talks and workshops throughout venues in Tribeca.

CSSMA has partnered with TAC over the last couple of years and in that time we have hosted drawing workshops, dance and avant-garde theater performances, a vogue-ing workshop and more! Learn a bit more about Jennifer in this short interview from Gervois News.

Many of you rely on The Hudson River Park Mothers Group | HRP Mamas as Lower Manhattan's Mothers Support Group and Parenting Resource. We have been lucky to partner with them for many of our events and initiatives and deeply appreciate the incredible work they do in our downtown community!
